FOXHOUND TRAINING IN CANADA – AUGUST 10, 2018

FOXHound trainings are being held in Canada and the United States for the first time in more than 20 years, following the closure of the border between Canada and Mexico.

The United States and Canada agreed to reopen border crossings at the end of August 2018 following a lengthy investigation into the deadly dog attacks.

But a spokesperson for the US Department of Homeland Security, which is the lead agency overseeing border security, told CBS News the United Kingdom, France and Germany have already opened their borders and the rest of the world is still waiting.

The US Department and US Border Patrol will continue to monitor the situation in the border regions of the United State and Canada to ensure that all travellers are being treated with respect.
