The English Premier league could be in for a new striker after the player was reportedly in talks to join the German side.
According to Bild newspaper, Bundesliga clubs Leverkusen and Schalke 04 were also in talks with the 21-year-old.
It was previously reported that the club were preparing to make a move for the player, who has also been linked to several Bundesliga clubs including Bayern Munich.
According the report, Leverkusens chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told Bild: “Hermano has been on our radar for a while.
I’m very happy with what he’s done in the Bundesliga this season and he has the potential to be a great player for us.”
Schalke also held talks with Schalkel 04’s Hololives representatives but have yet to agree a fee.
The striker’s agent, Jorge Mendes, told Bild that his client is still waiting for a medical and has not yet signed a contract.
“We have a meeting tomorrow with Schalmke.
We will wait until the next day to make any official statement, but he is still very interested,” he added.
